About

Once upon a time, there lived a great-grandmother. She had a big heart, full of love, though to us she remained “Little Grandma” for as long as she lived. From her tiny room, storybook-like Paprika Jancsis and cheerful clowns would appear — perhaps that’s where everything began…

I’m a geographer who loves to create, and I’ve always been fascinated by how stories, places, people — and materials — are connected. Over time, I realized that in my own family this connection runs through the women’s line: the needle, the thread, the love of sewing. My grandmother’s old textiles and the small details inherited from Little Grandma are threads that shaped the way I started creating.

I work mainly with natural fabrics, believing that what we wear should be breathable, long-lasting, and kind to the Earth. Sewing is a hobby for me, but also a way to stay connected to the past. The knowledge passed down through the women in my family, the old fabrics from my grandmother’s wardrobe, and the memories we share are all part of this path.

This is how SACAL was born — a place where clothing and sewn accessories come to life. The aim is simple: to show how much sewing can give — space to slow down, the joy of creating, and a way to come closer to our own stories.
